 New Attendance Policy:

After decreased attendance to rehearsals the leadership team of students and Mr. Farley have decided upon a more clear attendance policy so that everyone can be clear about the expectations and ramifications of missing rehearsal. The attendance policy will be as follows:

Excused absences include:
- All doctors appointments that have been presented to Mr. Farley BEFORE September 10th.
- Sick with doctors note (this is for leaving school early, any student who stays beyond 4th period, the first absence leaving school early will be excused without a doctors note.)
- Sick home from school the entire day.
- Club meeting before 3:40pm.

Unexcused absences include:
- Any appointment during rehearsal that staff is not made aware of prior to September 10th.
- Leaving school early (after 4th period) without a doctors note (first time excused).
- Coming from club meetings AFTER 3:40pm. (You stand present by being on the field of rehearsal.)

After the first unexcused absence the student will stand on the sideline of the next performance and not perform. The student will still attend event in full dress, but will not participate. This includes both football games and competition dates, student will sit out of the next available performance. Two missed performances will result in dismissal from the group.

What this means - Mr. Farley needs to know about all doctor's appointments that have been scheduled during rehearsal time for the rest of the season by September 10th.

- If you have yet to make doctor's appointments mandate that they be made for Wednesday's.
- If your child is at school for the day, they need to be at rehearsal unless sick enough to need treatment.
- There are now clear ramifications for being late to, and missing rehearsal.

Please understand that these policies were developed for students, by students, with the overall success of the group in mind. This policy will officially go into effect on Monday, September 7th with a deadline of September 10th for future doctor's appointments.
